September & October 2025 DevvE Technical Progress Update

Now that the DevvE Network is live and able to welcome developers, we’re kicking off the first of our DevvE Development updates. These will be short, quick-fire updates that you can refer to if you want to find out the latest improvements we’ve made to our ecosystem.

We welcome feedback, and that’s why we’re publishing these to the Developer Forum. If you have any features you’d like to see implemented, or questions about our development goals, let us know below.

The DevvE engineering team has achieved several major milestones over the past two months, with continued progress toward strengthening network stability, developer accessibility, and platform scalability. This update provides an overview of the key technical developments across the DevvE ecosystem.

DevvE Network Deployment & Documentation

As we shared, the DevvE Testnet is now live and actively validating blocks; and there’s already developers building decentralized applications on our chain, marking a critical advancement in the network’s development. This milestone demonstrates successful block production, validation stability, and the foundation for developer participation and testing.

Comprehensive OpenAPI documentation has been published on GitBook, providing clear guidance for developers building within the DevvE ecosystem. Work is also underway on the DevvE Developer Portal, which will host tools for developers, and integrations to streamline development workflows - with a standard development kit (SDK) in the pipeline for future release.

A dynamic roadmap has been implemented to track technical progress and improve visibility into project phases.

Infrastructure and Backend Enhancements

Significant progress has been made in optimizing the backend architecture and improving operational reliability. Key developments include:

  • Completion of the interest accrual algorithm design and initial implementation for the upcoming release of the Devv Ecosystem Lending Platform,

  • Deployment of new DevOps Shard resources to enhance scalability and system resilience,

  • Ongoing improvements to DevvE’s microservice architecture for greater modularity and maintainability of applications built atop DevvE,

  • Expansion of our internal observability and alerting systems to support testnet performance monitoring and rapid response capabilities.

Security and Performance Improvements

The engineering team has continued refining the platform’s security posture and network delivery performance in collaboration with CDN and security infrastructure providers.

These efforts are focused on ensuring efficient network access, protection against potential threats, and readiness for broader public participation. This is a key internal workstream for our engineering team as we prepare to welcome more decentralized applications to DevvE.

Current Focus Areas

Work for the upcoming period is centered on:

  • Completing the implementation of the interest accrual algorithm ahead of the Devv Ecosystem Lending Platform launch,

  • Advancing our functionality to support multi-asset movement across ecosystems, enabling users from other ecosystems to seamlessly ramp to and from DevvE. This will effectively be a bridge to DevvE, enabling the flow of TVL and value into the first decentralized apps built on our chain,

  • Continuing development of developer tools to improve integration efficiency. This is crucial for rapid development and will improve the onboarding flow and ease of building on DevvE Network in the coming months, with an eventual goal of releasing an SDK for DevvE builders,

  • Establishing an updated software release framework for improved deployment consistency and transparency. This will make our release timeline and DevvE Network improvements clearer for those building on DevvE.

Engineering Team Roadmap Additions

Several new initiatives have been added to the development roadmap:

  • Development of comprehensive developer tooling as part of a eventual SDK build-out,

  • Improved DevvE Testnet Wallet Application with updated UX and UI,

  • Comprehensive Security Audit of the DevvE Network testnet before full mainnet capabilities,

These initiatives will further strengthen the DevvE network’s reliability, security, and developer experience as the platform moves toward broader adoption and the next stage of its rollout.

We’ll be publishing these updates monthly going forward. We also actively respond to ad-hoc questions in our Discord, or here on the Developer Forum!
